I started trying out The Glowcery Shop’s products in mid-2020 when I was building my skincare routine. At the time, they had just launched and I saw their products popping up on my Instagram feed for weeks. What drew me to the brand was their use of natural products. Everything that they put in their products can be found in your fridge and they all contain superfoods. I am a stickler for putting nutrient-dense foods, vitamins and minerals into my body. So I figured, why not do the same thing for my skin. One of my favourite products of theirs is the Clean Green Superfood Serum Facial Oil, it has changed the appearance of my skin. My skin is brighter, feels more hydrated and looks healthier.
We all know that it is a bad thing to keep touching your face. I have recently stopped answering the phone by my ear to make sure that there is less contact with external things on my face. I have tried one other facial oil in the last year, but it didn’t do as much for my skin. The Glowcery Shop swooped and created a product that did exact what I needed it to do. I mean the name of the product says what it is, a product that contains a green superfood that is clean and an oil for your skin. A must have product in your routine if you ask me because your skin will glow. You will wake up and your skin is still shining like a diamond. Don’t walk to the checkout, run. Run fast.
What does The Glowcery Shop Superfood Serum Facial Oil Contain?
Brassica Oleiracea Italica (Broccoli) Seed – Broccoli Seed Oil is a natural ingredient. It protects the skin from damage such as UV rays. It helps the skin to look more supple and radiant as the vitamins in the seed oil boosts the production of new skin cells.
Cannabis Sativa (Hemp Seed) Seed Oil – It controls the production of oil, in order to moisturise your skin without clogging your pores, as well as, rejuvenates your skin preventing flakiness and itchiness. It is packed with a lot of vitamins and minerals such as manganese. Manganese is used to produce collagen which replenishes the skin, hair and nails with protein.
Calophyllum Inophyllum (Tamanu) Seed Oil – Tamanu oil is in a lot of skin care products. It is used to treat damages to the skin barrier and skin wounds. Tamanu oil is naturally high in omega fatty acids and can restore, replenish, and soothe your skin. It’s also full of antioxidants that protect the skin from any environmental damages such as sunrays and pollution.

How Do You Use It?
The best thing to use with this facial oil is the pipette that comes with the bottle and apply it directly onto your skin. This is the last product that I use in my evening skincare routine. I like to apply no more than 6 drops onto my face and neck. You can pour it into your hands but I recommend using the pipette to not waste the product.
You only need a small amount for the product to do its job well. If you are using it in the evening, I suggest doing your skincare routine about 30 minutes before you go to bed. The product does absorb fast, but be aware that you might get some stains on your pillowcase if you go bed immediately. Luckily, the product is easy to wash off! You can use it in the morning, make sure to apply SPF after using the facial oil. For all skincare products, your skin needs to be both clean and dry for the facial oil to work correctly.
When I first used it, I could smell the broccoli oil straightaway. It is easy to get carried away and use more than 6 drops, a little goes a long way. One 30ml bottle lasted around a good year (I think) before I needed to buy another one.
My Experience With The Glowcery Shop
How good is the product at brightening and replenishing my skin? I didn’t see the results until a month into using the product. For reference, I have highly sensitive and combination skin. I can guarantee you that this is suitable for my sensitive girlies out there, I noticed after a month that my skin was a lot brighter and hydrated. I tend to have a lot of breakouts on the left side of my face, which can leave a lot of scarring. My skin felt restored and the breakouts felt less sensitive in sun.
Lastly, the packaging. I’ve always been conscious about doing my environmental duty and it was surprising when I received the package for the first time. The product is shipped in a reasonably sized box and every single item down to the bottle itself can be recycled. I believe that is really important for those of us who live in countries that are very strict on recycling.
