Believing In Your Power

Once I started to believe in myself, it all started to come together…

It’s currently the second week of May and it may seem like it’s too late to restart or try to continue with your goals…but it’s not. It’s never too late to change the story that you’ll tell one day. It’s never too late to start your fitness journey again today. It’s never too late to start believing in your power. When you start your fitness journey, it can be hard to believe in yourself. It’s very easy to give your energy to negativity, thinking about the worst case scenarios and giving up your power to make these situations better. That can lead you to start living your life in fear.

Regardless of what you have or haven’t done, your future is unwritten.

You have more wins to celebrate, more lessons to learn, more people to meet and more time to make a difference in your life. Every day is an opportunity for you to start over and build yourself into the person you want to be. Regardless of how big or small your win, always celebrate it. By acknowledging each of those wins, you are teaching yourself that your hard work and your life has meaning.

I’ve been that girl who was so scared to walk into the weight room feeling out of place and like an amateur. I’ve been that girls who was frustrated for not seeing progress. I’ve been that girl who was scared to wear shorts to the gym because she felt insecure. I’ve been that girl who stopped herself multiple times from leaving her comfort zone because she was afraid of the unknown.

I’ve also been that girl who gets up each day and tries again to get one step closer towards her goals. It’s not about your speed, it’s about going in the right direction at your own pace. You can be that girl too. You are not alone. Get up and keep going. Imagine where you’ll be in a year’s time if you keep on going. Don’t downplay your journey, but enjoy it each step of it and glow in your process. Your hard work at the end of the day will you the results that you are looking for.

Do you know what got me through all of these things? Believing in myself and believing in my power. I discovered that motivation can be fleeting. I can be motivated today, and tomorrow be in a completely different space yet both days have the same end of goal. Being motivated wouldn’t get me to where I am now but it was the habits that I practice daily that got me there such as packing my gym bag, throwing on my gym clothes, putting on my shoes, getting to the gym etc. These habits were done with intention.

If you haven’t heard it today, remember you have the ability to create the life that you want.
