Happy Monday friends!
Thank you so much for the support of my Powerlifting training series. I’m glad that you liked the posts and that some of you are inspired to try out the sport. I have received a request to share my Spotify workout playlist. If you are interested in that, please let me know and I will link it on the blog.
One more notice before I start today’s post, I am running my first 3 weeks of gifts on my Instagram platform starting today. If you would like to win some fitness, supplements and mindset swag, there is a link to my Instagram on the side if you want to participate!
Today’s post is all about Doughnuts and Deadlifts Perform Line!
Doughnuts and Deadlifts is a lifestyle and fitness apparel brand that designs clothing for all lifters, in particular strength athletes in Olympic weightlifting, powerlifting, bodybuilding, CrossFitters and people who are new to strength training, as well as people who love eating doughnuts.
The company has an amazing history from its birth to its present. It is run by Krissy Mae Cagney , who I have followed for years on Instagram, and after seeing what the company stands for, I knew I wanted to buy some of their clothing and show my support.
Their Perform Line is an exclusive line that is only released twice a year. I’m more attracted to brands that don’t release a new line too often because it demonstrates that these companies actually spend the time to manufacture their clothing and to ensure that it is of the highest quality. When I found out that this line was coming out, I knew I had to buy some especially since I missed out last year.
I would have loved to buy the whole line but I don’t have money for that 😊 so I bought three items and I’m in love with them completely. Let’s get straight to the review!
The three items that I bought were:
- The Perform Crop Hoodie in Grey
- The Perform Keyhole Bra in Slate
- The Perform Pocket Shorts in Grey
As a whole, I loved all the items that I bought. It’s the little things that make this line amazing. The detalling, the stitching, the comfort and the sizing was thorough. I got the hoodie in a size medium and the sports bra in a size medium and the shorts in a small.
The Perform Crop Hoodie has to be my favourite hoodie I have. First, it has thumb holes but I wouldn’t put your thumbs in it whilst training. It is snug on me which I prefer and it does keep you warm underneath a winter jacket when the temperature drops. The simplicity of the design makes this stand out for me, this piece has no faults in my eyes.
The Perform Keyhole Bra was a gamble for me. I don’t usually buy sports bras that are low-cut but this piece changed my mind on that very quickly. The medium is a little big for me but I think it is due to dieting down for my powerlifting meet. It will probably fit better once I’ve put on more muscle and fat. The bra is very comfortable and the racerback does not dig into my shoulder blades. I haven’t had any issues with nip slip but I always wear a top over it. The material does not collect sweat and it is very breathable.
The Perform Pocket Shorts are lovely. I always wear leggings to the gym but I did wear these a few weeks out from my meet. Like most shorts, they do tend to rise whilst training, I think it has to do with my thigh size. It didn’t bother me pulling the shorts down every so often but I know it bothers some people. It has the pocket on the side and a Doughnuts and Deadlifts emblem.
Each piece has various symbols that are related to the brand. They do come in other colours such as black and olive. This line has so many pieces ranging from leggings, tops, hoodies, tanks etc. Their men’s line has some amazing key pieces too.
I’m happy that I got a few items from this launch and I would recommend this line and all their others lines to anyone that is looking for fitness wear with the highest quality.
Until next time,
